An increase of 36% in exports over 2016 to 300,000 hectoliters (hl) and 38% in value, Provence wines have broken the ceiling last year. According to the Comité interprofessionnel des vins de Provence (CIVP), which presented its 2017 results on March 8 in Paris, international sales have exploded in ten years, rising from 20.2 million euros in 2000 to 226.2 million, while the overall turnover of Provence (89% rosés) stood at 1.5 billion euros.
In the United States alone, which now accounts for 50% of foreign deliveries and 43% by volume, it has increased 40-fold to 114.3 million euros, or 3.4 million hectoliters (hl).
