From July to the end of September, the coastal guards and eco-volunteers from CEN Occitanie organize mornings to search for traces and nests of Loggerhead Turtle on the natural beach of Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone and Aresquiers. These surveys are part of the regional campaign coordinated by the Center for the Study and Protection of Mediterranean Sea Turtles (CESTmed). Morning surveys are carried out on foot between 6 am and 12 noon and cover all of the 12 kms of the lido of Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone and Aresquiers.
